How to clean and care for natural stone counter tops

Granite, Marble, Limestone, Travertine, & Quartzite

Always Keep Natural Stone Sealed

• Periodic sealing will keep your stone’s stain fighting ability at a very high level

• A properly sealed stone will assist with preventing bacteria from penetrating the surface

• The best care you can give your stone is preventive care with properly sealing

Cleaning Your Stone

• Always use a cleaner made for natural stone

• No harsh spray or chemicals (any cleaner with a bleach or acidic base will slowly degrade your sealer) This will make your stone harder to clean and susceptible to staining

• Always wipe up a spill immediately

• Clean counters after your done prepping, cooking, and/or entertaining. Do not leave clean up until the next morning

• Even a sealed stone can absorb oils, food coloring, wine…etc. The longer it sits; the longer it has to penetrate and absorb into the stone

• Stains should be addressed immediately; using StoneTech Dupont Stain Remover

Recommended Cleaner

• StoneTech Dupont Revitalizer and Cleaner

  • Using the StoneTech Dupont Revitalizer and Cleaner as your only cleaner will extend the life of your sealer. Depending on use; you possibly will not have to reseal for many years; as there is some sealer in the product.

Properly installed and cared for natural stone can last a lifetime and increase the value of your home!
